I am an accomplished microbiologist with over a decade of combined experience in academic research, teaching, and scientific project management. My expertise spans microbial culturing and co-culturing techniques, molecular biology, and microbial identification, with a strong emphasis on cultivating previously uncultured microorganisms. I have a proven track record of interdisciplinary research, particularly in the application of microfluidics for microbial biotechnology and the discovery of natural products. I earned my PhD in from Beijing Institute of Technology, China, where I developed a novel culturing chip (cChip) for accessing uncultured aquatic microorganisms. My academic background also includes an MPhil in Biotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University and a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology from Hazara University. Currently, I am serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Hazara University, where I mentor graduate students, develop curricula, and oversee departmental examination system. I have authored more than ten peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals such as Science of the Total Environment, Archives of Microbiology, Acta Astronautica, Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, and Radiation Research. My work includes contributions to microbial metabolomics, space microbiology, and environmental biodegradation. I bring a diverse technical skill set including microbial co-culturing innovations, enzymology, analytical instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, MALDI-TOF), computer-aided microfluidic device design, and bioinformatics (R, Python). Moreover, I am also well-versed in scientific writing, research data management, and interdisciplinary collaboration. My academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to advancing microbiological research and its translation into practical applications.
