Dr. Samia Zeb is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of Microbiology and Immunology. She earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology and Immunology from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2021, where her doctoral research focused on “Comparative Genomics and Proteomics Analysis of Vibrio cholerae Isolates from Pakistan with Different Genetic Backgrounds.” Earlier, she completed her MPhil in Microbiology from Quaid-i-Azam University in 2009 with a thesis titled “Isolation of Sulfur Degrading Microorganisms and Their Role in Biodegradation of Vulcanized Rubber.” She began her academic journey with a BS in Microbiology from Hazara University in 2007. With more than 16 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Zeb has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology at Hazara University since 2008. She is widely recognized as an experienced educator, mentor, and researcher, having supervised numerous BS-level research projects and guided students toward innovative scientific inquiry. Dr. Zeb has published over a dozen internationally recognized research papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals. Her research contributions span a wide range of areas, particularly: • Comparative and functional genomics of pathogenic bacteria • Proteomics and molecular characterization of infectious agents • Host–pathogen interactions and immunological responses • Biodegradation and environmental microbiology Her academic career reflects a blend of teaching excellence and high-impact research, establishing her as a respected figure in academia and a valued contributor to the scientific community both in Pakistan and internationally.
