Before Joining Hazara University, Dr. Monsif served as Research Scientist with International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) for six years (2014-2020). During his tenure with CIMMYT, Dr. Monsif got the opportunity to establish strong national and international collaborations and also visited few countries. He published more than 15 research publications in high ranked journals and also released one wheat variety, Subhani-21, in collaboration with WRI-AARI Faisalabad. He has proven experience in breeding, genetics and molecular/genomic studies of major field crops and also won one project (HEC, NRPU) in his first year at HUM of worth six million PKR.
