Program Objective

The MSc (Hons) in Horticulture program aims to produce skilled horticulturists and researchers equipped with advanced scientific knowledge and practical expertise to improve the production, quality, and sustainability of horticultural crops. Program Description

The MSc (Hons) in Horticulture program at the Department of Agriculture, Hazara University Mansehra, is a two-year postgraduate degree designed to develop advanced knowledge and research skills in the science and technology of horticultural crop production. The program integrates modern concepts of plant physiology, genetics, and production management to enhance the yield, quality, and market value of fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and landscape plants.

Students gain a strong foundation in horticultural crop production, post-harvest technology, plant propagation, and protected cultivation systems. Emphasis is placed on sustainable production practices, efficient resource utilization, and adaptation to climatic and environmental challenges.
