Bridging the Gap between Academia and Main Stream Media, International summit
Students of the Department of Communication & Media Studies visited Islamabad to attend a two-day international summit titled “Bridging Media and Academia”, organized by DW Akademie Germany. The purpose of the summit was to bridge the gap between academia and the mainstream media. National and international experts participated in the event as speakers, analysts, and specialists from various fields.
Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, Vice Chancellor of Hazara University, also attended the summit as a speaker. He stated that Hazara University is fully prepared to host such international events and is consistently producing well-trained, professional graduates in media studies.
Dr. Majid Ul Ghafar, Chairman of the Department of Communication & Media Studies, accompanied the students during the summit. He said that such international events provide excellent exposure to media students and offer them opportunities to interact with renowned senior journalists.
