Dr. Ikram Ullah is an accomplished biotechnologist with a distinguished academic and research career. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, where he specialized in the synthesis of multifunctional metal nanoparticles for biomedical applications. His academic journey, marked by excellence, includes a Chancellor’s Gold Medal in BS (Hons.) Biotechnology from the University of Malakand and an M.Phil and PhD in Biotechnology from Quaid-i-Azam University. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology & Genetic Engineering at Hazara University, Mansehra, Dr. Ikram has over a decade of experience in academia, research, and industry. His research focuses on nanobiotechnology, molecular identification of endophytes, metabolomics profiling, and the development of nanomedicines for antimicrobial and anticancer applications. He has supervised numerous BS, M.Phil, and Ph.D. students, guiding them in cutting-edge biotechnological research. Dr. Ikram has an extensive publication record, with over 40 research articles in international journals, accumulating an impact factor exceeding 100 and more than 2,878 citations. His work has been presented at various national and international conferences in Pakistan, Malaysia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan. In addition to his research contributions, he has served as a reviewer for multiple esteemed scientific journals and is a member of the Pakistan Biological Safety Association (PBSA). With over five years of industrial experience as an R&D Manager at Qarshi Industries and a strong teaching portfolio, Dr. Ikram continues to push the boundaries of biotechnology. His long-term vision includes establishing a research group dedicated to discovering novel bioactive metabolites from medicinal plants and microbial sources for therapeutic applications against infectious diseases and cancer. Beyond his academic and research endeavors, Dr. Ikram has received prestigious accolades, including the TÜBİTAK Ph.D. Fellowship in Turkey and the Prime Minister’s Tuition Fee Reimbursement Scholarship.
